dicom3tools software package provides DICOM medical image files manipulation and conversion tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dicom3tools
dicom3tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dicom3tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dicom3tools *
You will get with dicom3tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
